A small telemetry footprint, described plainly.

Dromum currently uses first-party measurement on its FreshBooks pilot to evaluate whether the asset is used and whether its evidence and calculator are useful.

What is recorded

The pilot creates a random pseudonymous browser identifier in local storage and a random session identifier in session storage. These are not names or account IDs. Event records also include timestamps, the page path, the first-party route or external referrer origin when available, stable asset/version identifiers and limited interaction metadata.

Asset view
Records that the FreshBooks decision asset was viewed.
Evidence interaction
Records when a reader opens the calculation and price-source explanation.
Calculator or template use
Records a calculation action and non-personal scenario categories.
CTA exposure
Records when the official FreshBooks link becomes meaningfully visible.
Outbound click
Records a click to FreshBooks and the destination domain.

Why it is recorded

We use this information to check technical reliability, deduplicate retrying events, understand whether the pilot's core interactions occur and evaluate the experiment after its frozen cohort start. We do not use this telemetry to build advertising profiles.

What the telemetry is designed not to collect

The current site has no account, contact form, newsletter signup or payment flow. The telemetry contract rejects names, email addresses, phone numbers, credentials, payment data, secrets and raw or free-text form data. Calculator inputs are reduced to defined scenario categories rather than stored as raw personal form submissions.

Storage, retention and controls

The site and first-party event database are hosted on Cloudflare infrastructure. Production records are separated by environment and use retry-safe event identifiers. Stored event records are subject to a 90-day retention window; expired production records are removed as new accepted events are processed. Direct telemetry extraction is protected by a server-side credential and is not a public endpoint.

Third parties and outbound links

Opening the FreshBooks link leaves Dromum and sends your browser to freshbooks.com. FreshBooks may then process information under its own privacy practices. Dromum does not control that destination. The current link is a standard outbound link, not an affiliate link.

Your choices and current limitation

You can clear Dromum's local and session storage through your browser controls. Dromum does not currently operate an account-based privacy request system or public contact channel. Before the site adds forms, accounts, advertising, affiliate attribution beyond ordinary outbound measurement, or serves jurisdictions that require additional consent controls, this notice and the implementation require owner and legal review.
